The American Red Cross received cable advices that its three representatives arrived in Cracow today to supervise distribution of 165 tons of clothing, hospital supplies, shoes, sheeting and blankets to the Polish civilian population in the Government General of Poland.
The Red Cross announced that it has expended $542,068 for Polish refugee relief not including the value of chapter-produced garments and surgical dressings. Contributions designated for Polish relief have been augmented by $50,000 voted by the Polish American Council, according to a letter from President F.X. Swietlik, of Milwaukee, Wis.
