A World Jewish Congress proposal that Jewish war orphans and abandoned children be entrusted to institutions supervised by members of their own faith was adopted here today by the legal committee of the International Red Cross, which is now in session here.
The W.J.C. suggestion pointed out that such a scheme would ensure the waifs a Jewish religious education. This proposal will be incorporated into the draft convention concerning the protection of civilians in war time.
