An informal conference of the governing body of the World Union for Progressive Judaism will be held July 21 at The Hague, Holland, it was announced here yesterday, to discuss “The Present Task of Progressive Judaism.” The problem will be considered both from its philosophical aspect and also in relation to the practical work of the World Union.
Following the conference, on Monday, the governing body will hold a business meeting. A decision as to the policy to be pursued in furthering progressive work in Palestine will be made. Reports will be given on the development of the work of the Union in Johannesburg, Budapest, and Vienna.
The World Union, an organization for the promulgation of Reform Judaism throughout the world, is closely associated with the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
