Reform rabbinical leaders in the United States are set to decide this week whether to advocate that Israel retain some Jewish settlements. The Central Conference of American Rabbis’ Board of Trustees is set to vote Wednesday on a new platform, including a section dealing with Israel that would advocate keeping some Jewish settlements in the West Bank while abandoning others in a final peace settlement with the Palestinians, said Rabbi Don Rossoff, who chairs the CCAR’s Committee on Israel.
