The Association of Reform Rabbis, representing 200 Reform rabbis in the greater New York area, today announced support of President John F. Kennedy’s stand against the extension of Federal aid to parochial schools. The Association declared in a statement;

“We uphold President Kennedy’s stand against the extension of any portion of that aid to parochail schools of any denomination or to private educational institutions. The Association shares President Kennedy’s conviction that the separation of church and state is essential to American democracy and is one of the pillars of the Constitution of the U.S.”
