Jehoshua Bachman, 40, a German citizen who is a Jewish refugee from Hitlerite decrees, today fired a toy pistol through the window of the German embassy here to draw attention to his complaints against the German government.
Bachmann was arrested by a policeman posted outside the embassy. The bullet fired from his toy gun broke the window through which it passed and lodged in a wall causing no further damage, according to an official announcement.
Investigation disclosed that Bachman was completely ruined as a result of his flight from Germany, his property having been confiscated. When repeated efforts to bring his case to the attention of the German embassy failed, Bachman determined to take extreme measures for revenge. He did not, he said, intend to injure anyone. Bachman is not connected with any organization.
