Dr. Paul B. Weisz, a 28-year-old refuges from Austria now serving as assistant professor of biology at Brown University, Providence, R.I., has discovered what may roughly he termed a third sex–protozoa in which three cells take part simultaneously in the fusion of nuclei, it was disclosed yesterday by the University.
Simultaneously, it was learned here that Peter B. Kenen, 17-year-old son of Isaiah L. Kenen, Director of Information for Israel in this country, and Michael Hollander, 15-year-old son of Dr. Franklin Hollander of Mt. Sinai Hospital, made the same discovery almost a year ago but did not realize its significance. The discovery was termed by Brown University officials as of fundamental importance.
