Appealing to the Christmas spirit among British officials a delegation of German Jews yesterday visited Eric Mills, head of the Immigration department, with a plea to King George, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, Colonial Secretary Malcolm MacDonald and High Commissioner Sir Harold MacMichael to admit to Palestine their relatives suffering in the Reich. Men carrying sandwich signs bearing the slogan, “Open Palestine’s Gates,” paraded through Jerusalem’s streets.
