Paul Rendi, A refugee, attempted suicide at Croydon Airport last night when he was refused admittance to England. He is proceeding tonight to Amsterdam, where a sister lives. If not Admitted there, he must return to England for deportation to France and perhaps thence to Austria.
Two Austrian Jews were reported to have committed suicide on a channel boat last night after admission to England had been denied them. The immigration authorities here are turning back many refugees from Austria.
