Information coming to light here shows that subversive propaganda activities are being carried on by Nazi agents in Strasbourg, France, against German refugees. Forged papers and pamphlets are circulated which give the impression that refugees are agitating against the Doumergue government and attempt to spread communist propaganda.
Hectographed broadsides from an alleged “section of Immigrant workers” calling upon Jewish workers, traders and intellectuals “to fight the Doumergue administration and to glorify the Soviet as a means of making more effective Jewish culture,” are being widely circulated.
It is reported that a number of agents, obviously provoked by a similar motive against Jews in exile, are circulating material alleging that Jewish immigrants in France are engaged in working for the conquest of France by Soviet sympathizers.
The work is easily recognized as a double-edged Nazi provocation.
