The Bavarian Minister who today addressed a teachers’ conference in Augsburg, admitted that there are still many opponents of the Nazi regime in Germany.
“I will not remain quiet until these enemies of the state will be turned dumb and quiet and have been eradicated,” he said. “Anyone, whether Catholic or Protestant, who stands up against our racial theory will be regarded as an enemy of the state and suppressed by the use of the most vigorous measures,” Minister Schemm declared.
