To preclude legal quotations from Jewish lawyers and judges, the Government has issued a directory of commentaries by Jews on German law. It lists all “non-Aryan” jurists and bar-members who have written commentaries on law cases.
A foreword to the directory points out that “the publication of such a handbook has become a necessity since many lawyers and judges find it necessary to establish quickly whether or not the author of a certain commentary is a Jew.”
