The Nuremberg anti-Jewish laws were openly condemned today by the President of the Reichs Court, Prof, Walter Simon, addressing a gathering here of Friends of the German Academy.
“The Nuremberg laws deserved to be somewhat different. Since they were proclaimed, however, they must be honored because the brutalities they impose are seemingly necessary brutalities,” the jurist declared.
The Nuremberg laws by implication indicate that the anti-Jewish boycott is legal, it was emphasized by Carl Wilhelm, member of the Supreme Court of Munich, in an article appearing today in the publication of the Academy for German Law.
“Anything giving the “Aryans” the uperhand over Jews in economic life is justified,” Wilhelm argues. “The boycott is therefore nothing but economic competition against the Jews under the law,” he writes, “even if it is thus manifested in its roughest form.”
