THE CONFISCATION WAS MADE, THE ANNOUNCEMENT SAYS, UNDER A GERMAN GOVERNMENT ORDER DATED APRIL 4, 1937, IN CONNECTION WITH THE LAW CONCERNING CONFISCATION OF PROPERTY OF ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LAW REGARDING COMMUNISTS’ PROPERTY.
THE ENTIRE PROPERTY OF THE FOLLOWING WAS CONFISCATED IN FAVOR OF THE PRUSSIAN STATE. THE HESSE LODGE IN FRANKFORT; SISTER UNION OF THE HESSE DISTRICT IN FRANKFORT; FRANKFORT LODGE WITH ITS WOMEN’S UNION IN FRANKFORT; HERMAN COHEN LODGE WITH ITS WOMEN’S UNION IN FRANKFORT; MARCUS HOROWITZ LODGE WITH ITS WOMEN’S UNION IN FRANKFORT; NASSAU LODGE IN WIESBADEN; OFFICES OF THE BERLIN DISTRICT OF THE SISTER UNION IN FRANKFORT.
REAL ESTATE CONFISCATED COMPRISES TWO HOUSES IN FRANKFORT-AM-MAIN AND THREE HOUSES IN WIESBADEN. THE ANNOUNCEMENT, DATED WIESBADEN, NOV. 18, 1937, IS SIGNED BY REGIERUNGS-PRESIDENT VON DORCKE.
