“Germany is in sad need now of the very qualities which the Jews would give her,” declared Rev. George D. Egbert in the Flushing Congregational Church in a sermon.
Germany’s attitude toward the Jews was likened to that of France toward the Huguenots by Rev. Egbert. “The day came when France was sorely in need of the very Huguenots she murdered and exiled,” he said.
“Germany has made the same mistake,” he continued. “The trouble is we have been measuring progress by years when we should measure progress by milleniums.”
