The German Government is planning important changes in the Palestine-Germany transfer agreement and modifications in the exchange regulations as far as sending money to Palestine is concerned, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today from a highly reliable source.
In this connection, sensational reports are being spread throughout the city that the Palestine Government intends to place certain commercial orders with Germany under the terms of the transfer agreement. The purpose of the orders, according to circles close to the Government, is to help German Jews transfer their capital to Palestine.
So strong is the belief that changes are imminent in the barter agreement by which German Jews going to Palestine are enabled to transfer their capital, that a legal conference on this and other problems connected with Palestine exchange, scheduled for next week, has been postponed by the local Palestine office, An all-German conference of Palestine office representatives will open here Sunday, however, to decide on a program of migration for the Winter months.
