Germany’s chief request of Poland at the recent conference between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries was to crush the Polish Jewish boycott movement directed against Germany, the French press reported today in dispatches from Warsaw.
Negotiations between the two governments are proceeding satisfactorily, the French papers said, adding that an emissary of Propaganda Minister Goebbels is participating in the sittings.
According to London newspapers a Polish-German agreement has been reached for mutual protection against unfriendly attacks in the press, books and on the radio
The London Daily Mail stated that an agreement had also been reached providing for the suppression of any news against either government. The Daily Mail pointed out that in practice this would mean the complete suppression of anti-German news in Poland, while the Polish press would open its columns to propaganda favorable to Hitlerism.
