Albert Bassermann, eminent German actor, has resigned from the German Theatrical Association according to an unconfirmed report. The reason for his resignation is said to be the fact that his wife was forbidden from performing in the theatre under the ‘Aryan’ clause.
Basserman will also give up plans for a nationwide theater tour.
