The Zionist Federation of Germany which did not participate in the last Zionist Congress because of the Hitler regime, announces today that it will have a strong delegation at the next Zionist Congress which opens in Lucerne August 27.
This announcement is interpreted as an indication that the Nazi authorities have no objection to contact between Zionists in Germany and Zionists abroad. One of the reasons why the Zionists in Germany refrained from sending a delegation to the last Zionist Congress was that they did not want to be accused of maintaining contact with Jews abroad.
Another reason why the Zionist Federation of Germany was not represented at the last Congress was the fact that discussion of whether or not to support the boycott of German goods in different countries was to be a feature of the session. Now that it is clear that the Zionist Organization has nothing to do with the anti-Nazi boycott and that the barter agreement between Germany and Palestine is not opposed by the Zionists, the leaders of the Zionist movement in Germany have been given to understand that they have nothing to fear if they participate in the next Congress in Lucerne.
