Max Reinhardt, distinguished director, and Ernst Lubitsch, famous movie director, will be guests of honor at a dinner tomorrow night launching the annual campaign of the Jewish Welfare Fund of Los Angeles, in which the United Jewish Appeal is a major beneficiary.
Heading a group of the foremost personalities in the Jewish community, Mendel B. Silberberg is chairman of the campaign. Speakers at the opening function will include Rabbi Ferdinand Isserman of St. Louis; Louis B. Mayer, executive of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Picture Company and Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin of Los Angeles.
