The Relative Immigration Amendment Bill was lost in the Senate today due to the objection to its consideration by Senator Simmons of North Carolina.

Under rules in effect at the time, the objection of one senator was sufficient to prevent consideration.

No amendment to the immigration law is now possible until Congress reconvenes next December.
