Minister of Interior Wilhelm Frick today circulated an order to authorities of towns and cities not to be strict in issuing marriage licenses to persons of mixed blood.
He points out that persons of party-Jewish blood are permitted to marry full-blooded Germans provided they obtain certificates of physical fitness and documents attesting to their origin.
Would-be husbands and brides of mixed blood must also file a sworn affidavit that to the best of their knowledge they do not have more than two full-blooded Jewish grandparents.
Licenses may be refused, according to the order, only when the license bureau clerk has contrary information about the ancestry of the person in question.
