Arnold M. Kaizer, general secretary of the Polish Jewish Refugee Fund of Britain, was received today by Minister of Interior Kazys Skucas and expressed gratitude for Lithuania’s generous treatment of refugees. General Skucas replied that refugee relief was Lithuania’s humanitarian duty, but assistance from abroad was necessary because of the presence of 100,000 refugees and internees. Kaizer also visited the British minister, who pledged assistance to his task. Kaizer has established an all-party committee in Kaunas representing the British fund.
