Referring to the State Department’s statement that the Commission for Polish Relief had spent $83,534 between September and March (JTA NEWS April 28), the Commission pointed out today that it had been credited only with amounts received from organizations not registered under the Neutrality Act, but actually had distributed $250,108 in cash remittances and materials sent to European countries during that period. The commission uses funds received from other agencies.
