The need of immediate supplies of warm clothing and medicaments in view of the oncoming Winter and the limited possibilities for heating was stressed by delegates attending a meeting of the committee for the welfare of interned refugees, held at Nimes, it was reported here today.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Quakers, the Permanent Jewish Relief Committee, the OSE, Jewish health protection society, and local camp welfare committees. Ways and means of ameliorating the material and moral conditions of the interned refugees were discussed.
