With the return to Palestine this morning of the High Commissioner, Sir John Chancellor, a Gazette Extraordinary will be published to-night, the J.T.A. learns, notifying a 20 per cent. remission of the tithe for 1930, in addition to the 30 per cent. remitted last July and a 50 per cent. remission for 1931. The reduction does not apply to the orange groves, but further relief is being considered for both years on the crops destroyed by locusts, field-mice and drought.
