A bill providing some measure of relief for Jewish merchants in Lithuania from the compulsory Sunday rest law was passed by the Lithuanian parliament yesterday. This was the first reading of the bill. It was introduced in accordance with promises given by the Lithuanian government to leaders of the Club of Jewish Deputies.
