A correspondence course in religion is now being considered by the commission on Jewish Education of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. In this manner it is hoped that the problem of providing religious instruction for Jewish children in scattered and isolated districts will be solved.
Though no formal course of study or plan has been issued by the commission, it has watched with keen interest local attempts in this direction made by seven large congregations. Five of these attempts were made in the South, one on the Northwest coast and one in the Middlewest.
RABBI CONDUCTS COURSE
One of the most interesting and successful of these experiments has been conducted by Rabbi Harry S. Margolis of the Mt. Zion
