On the eve of the expected announcement of the composition of David Ben Gurion’s new Cabinet, the Religious National Front–composed of the Mizrachi and the Mizrachi Workers Party–announced that it would not enter the coalition.
The decision, adopted unanimously by the central body of the religious bloc, was taken because of differences over the proposed program of the government and the distribution of portfolios offered by Mr. Ben Gurion.
