The Bible heads the list of 200 books recommended by committees of Protestant, Catholic and Jewish scholars for reading during Religious Book Week which is being observed the week of March 28 to April 3, under the auspices of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. The Week is designed to stimulate the reading by Americans of religious books and to spread a knowledge and understanding of the religious tradition that has inspired Americans of all faiths.
