President Hoover, in a letter to Felix M. Warburg, has given his endorsement to the plan to observe the birthday of Thomas Jefferson, April 13, as a Religious Freedom Day, which is sponsored by the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation. On that day Jefferson will be honored as the author of the law for religious freedom in America. The idea was suggested because Jefferson’s birthday will coincide this year with Palm Sunday and Passover.
