Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) met with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in Israel, and both disagreed with U.S. criticism of Israel’s policy of targeted killings of Palestinian militants and incursions into Palestinian-controlled territories. Engel also visited Chana Tova Chaya Nachenberg, a former U.S. resident who was critically injured in last month’s suicide bombing of a Jerusalem restaurant.
