Rep. Mario Biaggi (D/C NY), announced that the Soviet Embassy has informed him Hersh Gutman, a Soviet Jew whose exit visa was suddenly revoked shortly before he and his family were due to depart for Israel in the summer of 1972, would be granted a new visa. Biaggi, who interceded with the Soviet Embassy on Gutman’s behalf, said his visa was revoked when the KGB said he was a former member of the armed forces.
