Local Fascist leaders throughout Italy, acting on official instructions, have strengthened anti-Jewish agitation, which has assumed enormous proportions, the Jewish Chronicle reported today from Rome.
A number of Nazi instructors have been brought into Italy to give instruction in how to deal with the Jews, the report said.
There are about 40,000 Jews in Italy, in addition to some 4,000 refugees from Germany and Nazi-occupied territories.
