Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress, has met secretly with President Tito at Brioni, according to the Yugoslav news agency Tanjug. Dr. Goldmann, who requested the meeting, was accompanied by Armand Kaplan, Paris-based director of International affairs for the WJC. Mr. Kaplan Is said to have been Dr. Goldmann’s liaison with Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser in the WJC leader’s aborted attempt at personal Middle East consultations. Tanjug said both Dr. Goldmann and Marshal Tito “are maintaining strict secrecy” about the nature of their meeting.
