The report of the Jewish Association for the Protection of Girls and Women was presented by Mr. S. Cohen to the Commission for the Protection and Welfare of Children and Young People at its fifth session here.
The Commission took note of the report of the Secretariat on measures taken in execution of the resolutions adopted at its previous session. It noted the annual reports of various governments for 1924, and examined the reports of the voluntary organizations.
On Mr. Cohen’s proposal, the Commission adopted a resolution recommending the Council to invite the Secretariat to request all States to furnish complete information on the employment of women police.
Canton, Ohio launched its campaign for $45,000 for the United Palestine Appeal and the United Jewish Campaign yesterday. Rabbi Solomon Goldman was the principal speaker at the dinner opening the campaign.
