Since the promulgation of the ordinance regulating the immigration into Palestine in accordance with the economic needs of the country, 20,658 Jews entered Palestine under the auspices of the Zionist Organization and other wise, says an official announcement by the Colonial Office. The ordinance was promulgated September 1920.
Jews entering Palestine in 1922 numbered 7,844, divided as follows: 3,285 men, 2,446 women and 2,113 children. In December of 1922 there were 614 Jewish immigrants.
