A renewal of the religious persecution in Soviet Russia which early this year aroused the whole world is reported by the orthodox organ, “Tageblatt,” on the basis of information received in Jewish circles of Vilna. According to this information the rabbi of Slutsk has been arrested on a charge of counter-revolutionary activity.
Slutsk is a town of 15,000 population not far from the Polish-Russian border.
