Representatives of King Baudouin, members of the Belgian Cabinet and a number of foreign diplomats here participated in the observance of the 14th anniversary of the liberation of Belgium.
The observance consisted of a “pilgrimage” to the site of the former Breendonck concentration camp. This time ashes from the Ravensbruck concentration camp. where many Belgian Jews died, were transferred to Breendonck and laid to rest. Catholics. Protestants and Jews participated in the ceremonies.
