Following their decision not to occupy executive positions in the Histadruth institutions, the opposition groups today ordered their representatives to leave their posts.
The order was complied with immediately, thus widening the split within the Histadruth. The groups who withdrew their representatives include the Hashomer Hatzair the Movement for Labor Unity, the left Poale-Zion and others who are opposed to the policy of the Mapai, the Jewish Labor Party, which has a majority in the Histadruth.
