A Republican committee entrusted with the task of reviewing policy and making recommendations today urged that the government "make full use of its investigative powers in the case of crimes involving the destruction or attempted destruction of schools or places or worship."
To give impetus to civil rights, the committee recommended fair and equitable treatment for all citizens on all federal contracts using tax money. To this end, it was charged that the President’s Committee on Government Contracts should be given "added stature through legislation which would give it Congressional recognition."
