Repudiation of anti-Semitism by the supporters of Col. Juan Peron is only a maneuver, since it has been established that the anti- Jewish mobs who participated in attacks on Jews were all Peronists, the Union of Scoialist Women charged today in a statement published in the Argentine press.
The statement charged “clerical and nationalist elements are passively supporting anti-Semitic efforts to implant racial division among the citizens of Argentina.” A strongly worded statement condemning anti-Semitic activities in the country was also made public here by more than 1,000 prominent Argentinians representing industrialist, labor and intellectual groups, including leaders of various political parties.
