The executive body of the World Zionist Organization today received a request from the World Union of General Zionists to convoke a general conference of leaders of all Zionist groups at the earliest time possible to consider internal peace in the movement. The General Zionists addressed a similar request to the Actions Committee.
Bitter factional conflicts in the Zionist movement between the different parties and particularly between the Zionist Revisionists and the Laborites has led to demands that the differences between the groups be reconciled in the interests of the movement.
Chief Rabbi A. T. HaCohen Kook of Palestine announced recently that he intends to call a meeting between Revisionists and Laborites for the purpose of ending factional fights. Rabbi Kook declared he was hopeful the conference would be successful.
