Delegates from 19 nations participating in the Third Assembly of Parliaments from Latin America and Western Europe passed a strong resolution condemning international terrorism as a crime against mankind. The resolution called on all governments to refuse havens to terrorists.
The delegates also urged respect for human rights and denounced the use of force to settle disputes. “We speak the same language common to our civilization,” said Emilio Colombo, president of the European Parliament, “and we look for a common language about the problems of the world today.”
