Resolutions expressing the “painful disappointment experienced by the thousands of Jewish students in the universities of the city of Philadelphia” over the recent anti-Semitic outbreaks in Poland, and calling upon the Polish Government to take steps to avoid “such shameful acts of violence and intolerance in the future” were unanimously adopted yesterday and forwarded to Tytus Filipowicz, Polish Ambassador in this country, by the Council of the Philadelphia Jewish Students Associations. This Council includes representatives of the Jewish students at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel Institute and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
“May we ask Your Excellency to transmit to Your Government the feeling of painful disappointment experienced by the thousands of Jewish students in the Universities of the City of Philadelphia that liberated Poland should be the scene of acts associated with the dark days of Medieval Europe,” the resolution declares.
