Honorary membership in the Argentine Jewish community was today bestowed on Dr. Julius Lomnitz, retiring Joint Distribution Committee director for Latin America, for his seven years of work in this and other Latin American countries. The presentation was made by the DAIA, central representative organization of Argentine Jewry, at a dinner attended by 200 leading members of the community.
