A reception is being prepared by the American League for the Defence of Jewish Rights for Samuel Untermyer, distinguished New York attorney who is returning from Europe today on the French liner Paris. A reception committee, composed of Jewish and non-Jewish leaders, will meet Mr. Untermyer at Quarantine and then proceed to pier 57, West 15th Street, where representatives of numerous organizations will be on hand to greet the leader of the boycott movement against Germany. Among the delegations will be a committee of prominent rabbis, several posts of the Jewish War Veterans in uniform, members of the Jewish Legion, the Union of Cantors of America and the Cantors League of America, chapters of Hadassah, districts of the Zionist Organization of America, Order Sons of Zion, Young Israel and many other delegations.
Mr. Untermyer will be hailed for his services to humanity by well known civic and social leaders of this community. Reverend Seidel Rovner will sing religious music accompanied by a choir of cantors. The bands of the Paterson Post of the Jewish War Veterans and the Pride of Judea Orphan Asylum will play.
