The Zionist Revisionist Organization has arranged a Herzl seventy-fifth birthday anniversary celebration to be held Saturday evening at the Center, 122 Second avenue, it was announced yesterday by the city committee.
Speakers will include Jacob de Haas, Rabbi Louis I. Newman, Isaac Allen, L. Altman, Beinesh Epstein, and Dr. Morris M. Rose.
Excerpts from the works of Dr. Herzl, whose birthday is today, will be read by Mordecai Danzis. The Brith Trumpeldor choir will present a musical program.
ERROR IN HERZL ARTICLE
Two typographical errors crept into the Herzl article by Morris Rothenberg in yesterday’s Bulletin which had an unfortunate effect on the sense of the paragraph in which they appeared. Writing of Herzl as a peaceful emancipator, Mr. Rothenberg is made to say “His was a policy of conciliation—sometimes successful, but always consistent.” The phrase should have read “sometimes unsuccessful, but always consistent.” In the following paragraph, the phrase that reads, “The former would have kept Zionism on the plane of a purely international movement,” should instead have been “a purely internal movement.”
