Richard Sutro, Jewish Financier, Dies at 66

Richard Sutro, prominent New York financier, for thirty-three years senior partner of Sutro Bros. & Co., died here yesterday at the age of sixty-six after an illness lasting five months. He is survived by a wife and two daughters.

Mr. Sutro was interested in railroad financing and fifteen years ago he aided in the reorganization of the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railroad, of which he was a director and member of the executive committee at the time of his death. He was also interested in the production of copper and petroleum and was a director of many public service corporations.
