William H. Schwartzschild, chairman of the local drive for the United Jewish Appeal, announced yesterday that the subscriptions already obtained total $7,000. He added that the drive will continue until $10,000, the goal set by the local committee, has been secured.
Of the $7,000 already pledged, Mr. Schwarzschild stated, $5,000 has already been received by Lee A. Whitlock, treasurer of the local campaign committee.
